Fijian private island resort Laucala Island will soon become the first resort in the world to offer a DeepFlight Super Falcon submersible experience. The state of the art, two–person winged submersible craft will be available for guest use starting July 1, 2014 and will add an “only at Laucala” feature to an already exclusive vacation experience.
With the Hawkes Ocean Technologies’ submersible, guests will discover the pristine waters of the South Pacific Ocean without getting wet.
Shallow lagoons, colorful reefs and tropical
fish, such as coral trout, angelfish, lionfish, and octopus, surround
Laucala Island making for an unparalleled underwater adventure. Just 40
minutes from the resort lies one of Fiji’s most legendary dive sites,
the Great White Wall, a dazzling vertical wall blanketed in soft white
coral – guests will have 360 degree views of magnificent coral reefs,
abundant fish, and sharks, amongst other marine life while sitting
comfortably in the craft.

The resort is 80 percent self-sustainable and

entire island into each guest’s experience, from island-made spa
products to cuisine derived from indigenous plants, fruit and aquatic
